Regina Dimond

Regina is thrilled to join the CDS team as the Polar Bear teacher. Regina grew up with her seven siblings in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. and graduated from the University of Maryland with an English Education degree. She has over 25 years of instructional expertise, program coordination and administration in the educational community and has taught a wide range of ages and grades. She taught elementary school for over 12 years in the second, third, fourth and sixth grades. Regina was also an active member of two high school English departments teaching freshman, sophomores, and seniors. She enjoyed the challenges of designing and directing a Learning Resource program for high schoolers with unique academic needs, serving on different admissions boards, moderating multiple club activities, and mentoring student-teachers. Regina, her husband, and her two children moved to Charlottesville in 2015 and they love being part of everything it has to offer. They enjoy hiking with their Greater Swiss Mountain dog, Marcie, and cheering on any and all UVA sports teams.
