Davonda Smith

Davonda holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Spanish from Wake Forest University and a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Virginia. Honored to be a third-generation education professional, she has worked in varying capacities with students in grades PreK to graduate school for over 20 years. Davonda is excited to continue to serve with Charlottesville Day School’s extended day team this year. She truly enjoys studying education and getting to know students and their interests, talents and learning processes. Outside of CDS, Davonda loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters, discovering new ways to spark joy and exploring the beautiful landscapes and local businesses of the Blue Ridge and beyond.
