Davonda Smith

Davonda holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Spanish from Wake Forest University and a doctorate in educational psychology from the University of Virginia. Honored to be a third-generation education professional, she has worked in varying capacities with students in PreK through graduate school for over 20 years. Davonda is excited to return to CDS this year as a preschool support teacher and lead teacher for the extended day program. She truly enjoys studying education and getting to know students and their interests, talents and learning processes. Outside of CDS, Davonda loves spending time with her husband and their two daughters, discovering new ways to spark joy and exploring the beautiful landscapes and local businesses of the Blue Ridge and beyond.
