After years of fighting the family tradition, as she found herself born into a long line of educators, Mimi realized that she had been teaching her while life anyway- teaching her grandmother to blow bubblegum bubbles, her friends to drive stick shift, and children how to swim. She earned a Masters in Teaching degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She was first introduced to the concept of lifelong learning at the Curry School, and she fully embraces this idea in her professional and personal life as she finds joy in constantly learning from the world around her. This is her eleventh year as an elementary school teacher. She is thrilled to be a part of the CDS community as a teacher for the Third and Fourth Grade Team, and for both her children to be CDS Bears this year!
