Meg Greenwood

Megan (Meg) is thrilled to join Charlottesville Day School as a first grade teacher this year! She attended the University of Virginia and holds a master’s degree with dual endorsement in special education and elementary education, as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration.
Meg has spent her career in Charlottesville City and Albemarle County Public Schools, teaching many wonderful years of elementary school and serving as an instructional coach. She deeply values and enjoys the relational work that comes with teaching. What a gift it is to have such close bonds with students, families, and colleagues and traverse a year together at school. School is a sacred place where magic happens! She strives to create a classroom where children feel known and confident to be themselves; recognizing each child as their own unique galaxy to understand and nurture.
Meg and her husband, Bo, love Charlottesville, and live in the City with their three boys, Jack, Garrett, and Elliott.
