Jessica Warner

Jessica is a proud Texan who somehow ended up in Charlottesville after almost two decades in New York City. She has a BA in English Literature with a minor in Creative Writing from Washington and Lee University and an MA in the History of Decorative Arts and Design from the Cooper Hewitt in New York. Currently, she and her husband, Jason, own and operate a bar in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bedford Stuyvesant. So while her educational pursuits have been diverse, her career path full of twists and turns, and her home bases literally all over the map, the major thing that has remained consistent is that, in one way or another, Jessica has always returned to working with kids. This year, she is delighted to delve deeper into this passion under the guidance of all the brilliant teachers at CDS, particularly Karin Reed, with whom she will share a classroom.
When she’s not at CDS, Jessica is hanging with her family and friends, mulling over an interior design side-project, or taking a very long walk with her head in the clouds.
