Anna Marie Gieffels

Anna Marie brings five years of experience teaching elementary school, with a special love for third and fourth grade students. She finds this stage especially meaningful, as students begin to blossom in confidence, independence, and curiosity, and she is passionate about helping each child thrive.
Anna Marie earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from George Mason University. She brings a creative flair to her teaching, designing lessons that are engaging, hands-on, and meaningful for all learners.
Outside the classroom, Anna Marie enjoys a full and lively life with her husband and their three children (all CDS students)—John, Jacklyn Rose, and Peyton Jane. Their family stays busy with baseball, lacrosse, track, and wrestling, and they consider themselves part-time beach bums, often spending weekends by the ocean from May through September. She also loves all things creative, from decorating her home to painting and refurbishing furniture.
Anna Marie is passionate about making learning both fun and impactful and looks forward to creating a classroom where students feel inspired, supported, and excited to learn each day.
