Adria Cafferillo

Adria is thrilled to be returning to her roots as she joins the Charlottesville Day School team this year! A proud Charlottesville native and CDS alumna, she recently graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Music Education and Flute Performance.
Before returning home, Adria taught 3rd grade in Detroit, Michigan. She also was involved in the broader Southeast Michigan community through several outreach programs such as Crescendo Detroit, MSTARS, and the Michigan Youth Ensembles. These experiences helped shape her passion for inclusive, creative, and student-centered learning.
Adria believes in creating a classroom environment where every student is encouraged to grow, express their unique selves, and shine. Outside of teaching, she enjoys playing music, making art, and spending time with her family and friends.
